The Frynamic Duo is a chef-photographer team, operating out of a studio space in New York City. Collaborating with various brands, they specialize in bringing companies original recipes, food styling, mouth-watering photography, and brand development. Clients include food subscription services such as Try the World and HelloFresh, Slow Food America, Mouth, as well as media outlets as Bon Appétit and New York. 

The team is made up of old high school friends Matt Powell and Erik Bardin, who as luck would have it, re-met on a subway platform after college. Originally collaborating on a secret dining club, they channeled their passion into The Frynamic Duo.

Matt Powell first started cooking in San Diego in the kitchens of Heaven Sent Desserts, under the direction of Chef Tina Luu. After moving to New York, he worked at Daniel and Eleven Madison Park while he attended Columbia University. He went on to work in the test kitchens of Good Housekeeping and Bon Appétit, where he was first exposed to food styling. He has since styled for New York and Interior Design. In addition to recipe development and food styling, he works full-time as a copywriter and editor.

Erik Bardin attended San Diego State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in Electro-Acoustic Composition. He moved from San Diego to New York and started his career composing music for commercials which led him to advertising where he discovered his love of photography and brand development.
